You will find cross contamination here. They will substitute sides if you request it. I find the bowls to be safer than the boxes.

The Book Lover's Cafe 505 NW 13th St. (352) 384-0090 The Book Lover's Cafe This cafe has a few gluten-free options. I haven't gotten sick once though I've only been a few times.
Bonefish Grill 3237 SW 35th Blvd (352) 377-8383 Bonefish Grill Gluten-free Menu This is one of my favorite chain restaurants for gluten-free eating. The only down sides are crowding and price. For us, it's a special occasion restaurant.

Copper Monkey Restaurant & Pub 1700 West University Avenue (352) 374-4984 None Mom is a big fan of the California Chicken sandwich minus the bun. Watch out for the fries if you are sensitive to cross contamination.
Dragonfly Sushi 201 Southeast 2nd Avenue #104 (352) 371-3359 Dragonfly Sushi Dragonfly Sushi is a restaurant that is not gluten-free however makes really good substitutes. The chef will go out of his way to prepare a meal that you do not feel you missed out on anything. For example, they have a teriyaki sauce that covers seared fish. It has wheat in it. The chef will make a plum wine vinaigrette that is to die for. Many things on the menu are gluten-free or easily substituted items like sauces. They also have wheat-free soy sauce if you ask for it.
Luca's Pasta 607 W University Ave. (352) 338-1700 Luca's Pasta I've heard this is a good restaurant. They have GF brown rice pasta. I will be heading there soon. Anyone been there? Please send your thoughts.

Moe's Southwest Grill 3536 3832 West Newberry Rd. (There are several locations.) (352) 337-2850 Download Menu and Allergy Information I have gotten sick at them but it was dairy triggered and not gluten triggered. Be careful with them. It was probably because of cross contamination.
Outback Steakhouse 3536 S.W. Archer Road (352) 373-9499 The Outback Steakhouse Gluten-free Menu I've had mixed dinners at The Outback. I've had a perfect meal once and an over cooked meal once. The wait staff is also mixed.
Rolls and Bowls 3117 SW 34th St. (352) 271-1011 Wheat-free Menu One of my favorite restaurants. The bowls are customizable as are the rolls. People are friendly and helpful. Extra plus that they have a gluten-free menu and I have never have cross contamination issues. I have eaten here many times. It is a cheaper version of Dragonfly Sushi in the downtown area.
Satchel's Pizza 1800 NE 23rd Ave (352) 335-7272 Satchel's Pizza The salad has never caused me issues. They have a gluten-free pizza crust made by Sami's Bakery in the Tampa area. Neither Sami's Bakery nor Satchel's is a gluten-free environment. If you want to risk it, it's good pizza. It's made me sick a few times however I go back anyway.
Sonny's BBQ Florida Chain + A Few More Sonny's Allergen Menu I have eaten at Sonny's a few times. I made the mistake of having the green beans and it made me sick. They look safe but are not so be careful to avoid the green beans. The wait staff is not so great at holding the garlic bread and usually brings it out anyway. If I get Sonny's, I tend to order a family meal to-go where all the dishes are packaged separate.

Taste of Saigon 4860 NW 39th Ave Ste C (352) 372-8686 Taste of Saigon Menus According to a family member: Easy to eat at during lunch time. She orders the bento box and it is easy to substitute the California roll for a vegatable or tuna roll. The grill chicken or pork and substitute with the rice noodles or salad. Be careful of other stuff because there is wheat in it.
Venice Cafe 5240 NW 34th St. (352) 872-5131 Venice Cafe Website I've eaten at this restaurant three or four times now. The staff is helpful. Donna, waitress, is persoanlly knowledgable and full of ideas. The kitchen has been able to modify the menu and made me quite happy.
